BALANCING YOGA WORKSHOP WITH WIDI

Balancing poses are interesting but can be challenging. In this 2-day workshop, we will focus on balancing poses. Practise and learn how to balance and discover your own inner balance. This workshop is for intermediate level yoga students with more than three years of practice.

Oct 15: 2 to 5pm

ROPES, BLOCKS & CHAIR WORKSHOPS WITH WIDI

Make your yoga practice more effective! Attend all workshops or just the ones you are most interested in!

14 Aug: Yoga with Ropes Workshop

 

In this workshop, we will introduce you to a variation of yoga working with ropes, called Yoga Kurunta. Kurunta means puppet, a doll made of wood. We will do yoga hanging on the ropes, making our own puppet show. The workshop is open to anyone who wants to learn asana variations using ropes to broaden their yoga practice. Ropes help you to stretch and lengthen your spine, open your groin and support you in upside down variations. Learning to work with ropes is very beneficial to your home practice.

21 Aug: Yoga with Wooden Blocks Workshop
 

Learn how to use and position wooden blocks to help and support you in your yoga practice. Wooden blocks offer firm and steady support in many asanas. Blocks provide strong support when you are in the pose. The workshop is open to anyone who wants to learn asana variations with wooden blocks to broaden their yoga practice. You will leave the workshop with a clear understanding of how to use wooden blocks.

28 Aug: Yoga with Chair Workshop

 

This workshop will give you new ideas on how to use chair as your yoga mat. You will learn how to use a chair for support and to elevate your yoga practice. Learning how to use a variation of asanas with a chair will improve your daily practice.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2016

To celebrate International Yoga Day, we hosted a yoga sequence recommended by Iyengar Institute in Pune, India. The sequence was led by Anjani with Widi and Natsuko demonstrating and assisting. The asana practice was followed by refreshments.

 

Donations totalled SGD$500 and went to the Bellur Trust in Pune, India. This trust benefits the village of Bellur, where BKS Iyengar grew up, and is a special project of Guruji Iyengar.

HEALTHY NECK & SHOULDERS WORKSHOP WITH WIDI

Trisno Widiyanto, Widi is returning to Singapore for a 3-day yoga workshop!

 

In 2015, Widi dedicated to travelling around Asia Pacific to teach, and share the joy and knowledge of Iyengar yoga in English and his native language of Bahasa Indonesian. 


In this workshop, he will concentrate on neck and shoulder areas to bring understanding of postural alignment, creating space and bringing release to the areas.

 

This workshop is recommended for everyone with at least six months of Iyengar yoga practice.

ALIGNMENT & SENSE OF DIRECTION WITH WIDI

4 to 6 Sep 15

Trisno Widiyanto, Widi is returning to Singapore for a 3-day yoga workshop!

Widi takes each student through their strengths and weaknesses in their yoga journey, increasing their awareness, alignment and sense of direction in performing asanas.

 

For this workshop, he will start with standing and supine poses on the first day; continue with sitting variations and twisting on the second day; followed by balancing poses to bring balance to the body, mind and breath. 

 

Recommended for everyone with at least six months of Iyengar yoga practice.

In celebration of International Yoga Day, we hosted a yoga sequence recommended by Iyengar Institute in Pune, India. The asana practice was followed by the screening of 'Samadhi', a film featuring Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar.

DAY OUT AT SRI KRISHNAN TEMPLE

We invited our students to join us for a day of prayers at Sri Krishnan Temple at Waterloo Street when Olop Arpipi was in town to conduct his workshop at our studio.
